What can acupuncture do for me?
Acupuncture is a time-tested traditional Chinese medicine, in which hair-thin needles are inserted into the body's surface to conduct energy to its corresponding internal organs. Tui-na massage and Cupping are additional treatment modalities of traditional Chinese medicine, used to promote circulation, remove congested toxins, and nourish the Qi (vitality). Many report a feeling of deep relaxation, followed by a sense of renewal.
While each person experiences acupuncture differently, many report a sensation of deep relaxation. Depending on the seriousness and the length of your condition, it may take several visits to see improvement of your condition.
The World Health Organization recognized the ability of acupuncture to treat ailments including neuromusculoskeletal conditions, emotional and psychological disorders, circulatory disorders, addictions to alcohol, nicotine and other drugs, respiratory disorders, and gastrointestinal conditions.
